My Story

When people ask me what I do for a living,  I tell them "I coach people who are looking for smart solutions to their health and fitness challenges."

But what I really want to say is...

"I am on a mission to strengthen and energize smart people everywhere.  Let them sally out, into the wide world and make a difference!"  "Tally-ho!"

I’ve been teaching, coaching, and helping people troubleshoot health and fitness challenges for over 30 years. The most common thing I hear from people is, “Why didn’t someone tell me that years ago?!!”

My story begins with my own autoimmune disease which I have been battling all my life, with its accompanying chronic abdominal pain and maddening itchy skin...

Obsessed with getting better and staying maximally active, I spent years in higher education earning degrees in Exercise Science, Psychology, Genetics and Nursing; obsessively attacking my studies in nutrition, immunology, physiology and genetics.  It has been a relentless search for relief and more energy for myself at first, and later for my clients, students and patients.

My life has been a quest that asks...

While my Ph.D. in Genetics officially makes me “Doctor Jaimie”, as my mother frequently reminds me, after earning my Ph.D., I went back to school to become a registered nurse, which I found was sort of my spirit animal. You know, that warrior-nurse (yes, the one with the red cape) fighting shoulder to shoulder on the front lines.  I've worked as both a Medical-Surgical and Cardiac Nurse.  The lessons learned about sickness and health on the front lines are like no other.  And so, I am proud to call myself and my quest, "Nurse Jaimie"

Now, well into my 50s, and a bit thunderstruck by how crazy our world has become, I've been asking myself, "How can I take all what I've learned and use it to help steer the world in a smarter, kinder direction?"  What I see is that now more than ever, we need an army of wise, strong, energetic people out in the world, making a difference, with the endurance and strength to go the distance.

Together we can build a stronger, smarter, more compassionate world!

So it begins...
